Lesly Pourcely is a dedicated criminal defense attorney who combines military discipline, trial-tested advocacy, and an unwavering commitment to protecting the rights of the accused. Before joining Rier Jordan P.A., Lesly served as an Assistant Public Defender in Miami-Dade County, where he represented clients facing misdemeanor and felony charges at every stage of the criminal justice process.
During his time with the Miami-Dade Public Defender's Office, Lesly handled well over 1,000 criminal cases and developed extensive courtroom experience in complex litigation. He first-chaired numerous jury trials, securing multiple not guilty verdicts, and successfully litigated a wide range of pretrial motions, including Stand Your Ground immunity hearings, Motions to Suppress, and Motions to Dismiss. His advocacy has resulted in criminal charges being dismissed, illegally obtained evidence being suppressed, and favorable outcomes in serious felony and misdemeanor cases.
Lesly has successfully defended clients charged with offenses including DUI, firearm offenses, aggravated assault, burglary, grand theft, battery, and other serious felony charges. His experience also includes conducting more than 100 depositions of law enforcement officers, civilian witnesses, and expert witnesses, giving him a deep understanding of criminal investigations, constitutional issues, and trial strategy.
Prior to beginning his legal career, Lesly proudly served eight years in the United States Army, including service with an airborne unit. His military service instilled the discipline, leadership, and resilience that continue to define his approach to representing clients. During his service, he earned numerous military honors, including the Army Commendation Medal, the Parachutist Badge, the Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal, the Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, and the Army Good Conduct Medal.
